Due to maintenance issues the Common Pleas Court, General and Domestic Relations Divisions, will be operating under the following modified schedule.  
6/23/25 8:00A.M.-12:00P.M.
6/24/25 8:00A.M.-1:30P.M.
6/25/25 8:00A.M.-12:00P.M.

The Court will still have the ability to hear Emergency Civil Protection Orders and Emergency Custody Orders.  Please contact the Hocking County Prosecutor’s Office to file the Orders during the modified schedule.  

The Clerk of Courts and Title office hours are 8:30 to Noon for the week of June 23rd to June 27th.

Legal Notice - Sealed Bid

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Hocking County Commissioners, Hocking County Courthouse, 1 East Main Street, Logan, Ohio 43138, until 9:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project known as PAVING OF VARIOUS HOCKING COUNTY ROADS, SALT CREEK TOWNSHIP ROADS and LOGAN CITY STREETS, at said time, place, publicly opened and read aloud. 

Contract documents, bid sheets, plans and specifications can be obtained at the Office of the Hocking County Engineer, 1286 California Avenue, Logan, Ohio 43138, or the Hocking County Commissioners Office at the above address, or the Hocking County Engineer's website: www.hockingcountyengineer.com

Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the amount often (10%) percent of the bid amount. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. 

Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. 

All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable, use OHIO products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. 

Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Hocking County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. 

The Hocking County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
